Later marches were organized where the noise of the pans was the main component to be heard, called "marches of the pans".
His popularity was so great that the Quilapayún group in 1972 composed the song "Las ollitas".
Today this movement is still used and is the main form of demonstration of the town along with the marches. Recent occasions for its use are the first government of Sebastián Piñera year 2011 in the case of HydroAysén, first government of Sebastián Piñera year 2013 underway for salary improvements, second government of Michelle Bachelet year 2016 during the movement no + AFP, second government Sebastián Piñera year 2018 demanding the resignation of Luis Mayol and Andrés Chadwick for the death of Camilo Catrillanca, second government Sebastián Piñera year 2019 due to unemployment of the teachers' school.
