- What is this donkey rhyme?
Esltreim is a sociable card game from Bavaria. To be more precise, from a part of the Upper Palatinate north of Regensburg. It's played with four players on a deck of 32 from the Bavarian sheet. The special thing about Esltreim are the different games that are played per round. A round of Esltreim consists of a total of 6 games, with the first five trick games being paid into a pot and the sixth game being played out again in the pot.
In Bavaria and beyond, there are all sorts of variants of this game. These are called "Kein-Stich", "Herzeln", "Scheiß-Siglinde", "King Louis", "Scheiß-Paris", "Fritz", "Brumseln", "Pensionisteln", "Get Mille", "Milch fetch" or "pensioner game". We also don't know why the game has such wild names.
- How's the esl rhyme?
Each of the four players is dealt eight cards, so all cards in the deck are in play. In the first five games, "Herzln", "Jeder Stich", "Oberln", "Herzober" and "Last Stitch", certain cards that have been tricked add to the pot. In the last round, "Aufleng", the cards are dealt one after the other, beginning with the lower. Whoever is the first to pick up their hand cards wins and gets paid the largest part of the pot. The second and third also get something and the fourth was unlucky ;) Then a new round of esltreim begins. There are detailed rules in the game and at esltreim.de/wos-is-esltreim/rules.
- How do I play Esltreim?
Esltreim is played in fours and preferably in connection with a video chat.

- What does that have to do with taverns?
Karting is traditionally done in inns. And in the tavern, the mood is best for go-karts. We want to capture this mood and offer a suitable pub atmosphere. That's why you can choose which traditional Bavarian inn you want to play in. You start in a randomly selected inn and can then choose the inn as you wish or change during the game. In addition, you can find out more about the inns in the menu and see their contact details. Of course, we know all the inns and their owners personally. Over time, new taverns are constantly being added. Of course, only after extensive testing on our part ;)
- Who san mia?

However, sometimes it is not possible to personally zam to the kumma and then Esltreim.de offers a place for it. In addition, you can get to know new restaurants with us and play on their tables.
