The Limoges Opera opens up to contemporary technological perspectives in order to adapt and respond to the challenges of innovation with the desire to use digital, among other things, in its relationship with the public.
The first concrete experience is this digital application in connection with the "Schubert box": this application will allow you to give life to the creative musical object commissioned by LAB Clarac / Deloeil as part of his creative residency at the Opera de Limoges . The "Schubert box" concept - both a plastic object and a chamber music concert receptacle (Schubert's Lieder versus Bernard Cavanna) conceived for both exhibition and concert venues, invites the public to a new approach chamber music.
The "Schubert box" is an autonomous cubic space, a music box and pictures, in which a soprano and three instrumentalists take place for a concert of a renewed genre, combining music, lights and video creation.
Selected among the most famous pages of Franz Schubert, 10 Lieder are adapted by the composer Bernard Cavanna. The burst of accordion in these ten peaks of Romantic music brings an elegantly popular color. The video of this show unfolds like a shadow theater where the silhouettes of the artists evolve according to imaginary and symbolic landscapes related to each lieder. This device also imposes a particular video aesthetic thanks to a modern and original graphic animation.
This free application is developed by Sonic Solveig. She will give an account of this singular visual and musical universe proposed in this poetic walk; an interactive listening to listen with the eyes.
