GOALS
Our goal is to preserve our culture, customs, traditions and native language, as well as fostering good relations with the citizens of Norway, which has provided us with hospitality and in which we live. To help our citizens with the rapid integration into Norwegian society, to gather our citizens and their children through various activities. The association also works to strengthen the national identity of our people, promote education in the mother tongue, culture and customs, media representation, improve the living and working conditions of the Serbian people and realize the political representation of our national minority at all levels of local government.
WORK OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Association of Serbs "Serbian Crown" represents a legally organized group of members of the Serbian nationality in the Telemark area in Norway, which takes care of the affirmation, defense and development of the national rights, freedoms and interests of our citizens. The members of the Association are distinguished individuals who are proud of their national origins and strive to preserve the roots, culture, connections and language associated with other compatriots through voluntary action within the Association. The association functions as a registered organization with a statute and has its own Assembly consisting of a group of 120 members, who elect the main board.
HISTORY
The first activities began in 1994 with the arrival of a group of Serbian citizens from central Bosnia.
The association was founded and registered in 2007. The Serbian people have a rich tradition and culture. And so our association started organizing cultural and sports events immediately after its establishment and registration.
We can boast of a joint humanitarian action with the fraternal Association of Serbs "Kosovo and Metohija" from Lillehammer by bringing Serbian children from Serbian enclaves for rehabilitation to our families in Norway.
We are proud to have organized and gathered a large number of Serbs who live and work in Norway for the FIRST SERBIAN LITTLE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT TELEMARK 2010, ALL-SERB ASSOCIATION OF NORWAY TELEMARK 2011, 2012, 2013.
