The gastronomic experience Eulenspiegel in Steinau a.d.Str. located in the northeast of the Main-Kinzig district on the A66 embedded in the Kinzig Valley between Spessart in the south and the Vogelsberg in the north about 7 km southwest of Schluchtern, near the Kinzig Reservoir. In the Middle Ages and the early modern period Steinau was an important station on the Via Regia, the ancient trade route between the exhibition centers Frankfurt a. M. and Leipzig. Lived here from 1791 to 1798 and the famous fairy tale collectors Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.
