The music of PROSECHÓS is heavily influenced by the biography of Jannis Karis. Born in 1957 in Filippi / Northern Greece, he lives in Frankfurt / M since 1975th After he was several years a member of Orfeo Greco, Pegasus etc., in 1984 he founded the group PROSECHÓS. After-European tours with the doyen of Rembetiko, Michalis Jenítsaris, and release of the live album "SALTADÓROS" - Prize of the German Record Critics 1991-, the group played 1993 album "SALTO ORIENTALE", and thus reached 1994, the top ten EUROPEAN WORLD MUSIC TOPS. The album managed the separation from Rembetiko the Orient - Occident crossover.
