Each summer, 250 students from more than 50 countries to "Summer University for Intercultural German Studies" to Bayreuth The campus then transforms for several weeks in a meeting place for young people. Studying German, familiar with foreign cultures and have an unforgettable time!

We offer a diverse course and culture program that you can custom-configure according to your interests.
The intercultural language course takes place in the morning and is supplemented by specialized courses in the afternoon. Select your topic: film studies, European studies, music, law, economics, literature, journalism or intercultural communication.
City tours, nature walks, open air cinema, literary café, theater workshop, sports, international choir and numerous other attractions complete our program.
The Summer School is organized for 17 years by the University of Bayreuth and the "Institute for International Communication and Foreign Cultural" (IIK) and steadily growing in popularity among students from all over the world.
