The Summer Meeting ....
... From 2008 to 2015 - that means seven years Summer Meeting and seven years of festival history. When we organized the first Summer Meeting guessed the almost 1,000 visitors on 06/09/2008 certainly just as little as we do, what would become of it once.
A colorful mix of newcomers, local heroes and the nationally known headliners lured with ska and reggae rhythms on the festival that from the beginning had the motto "free and outside".
"Cheerful continue" so was the motto of the second edition. And indeed some fantastic weather, great music and good humor the 03.09.2011. More than 2700 visitors rewarded the organizers for their courageous experiment this time program on two stages and a total of 14 bands to offer.
The musical palette has been significantly expanded. Besides the familiar sounds of Jamaican reggae and ska acts, there was now also harder on the ears. Rock mixed with hip hop sounds and Metal boomed around the grounds in front of the old pool. Headliner was a Germany-wide known singer-songwriter. The concept went on, pointing to the organizers the way that they wanted to adopt from now on.
Already on 06/09. 07.09.2013 and it was said then, "and free"!
Now, in 2015, we already celebrate the 4th edition.
