POSTEDEN, OR HOW TO EXPLAIN FROM HOMINIZATION TO POSTHUMANISM TO A VIRTUAL HARE is an augmented reality (AR) project in public space, which takes place within the framework of Seasons of Media Art 2021 in the city of Karlsruhe, Germany. The virtual installation reflects upon the subjectification of the human in the Anthropocene. It does this by approaching the apple as a living archive, analyzing its symbiosis with other agents in various historical and contemporary contexts, as well as instances in which this symbiotic system has been inserted into the social imaginary in symbolic ways.
The project unfolds at two venues in AR, one is at the Nymphengarten (Lammstraße 23, 76133 Karlsruhe, Germany), just behind the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Karlsruhe, and the second is at the ZKM | Streuobstwiese (St.-Florian-Straße 6, 76135 Karlsruhe, Germany), behind the Edeltrud-Tunnel.
To interact with the geolocation-based AR content at one of these two venues, make yourself present and follow the instructions on the designated information boards. For an optimum experience, use headphones.
