About Schietto

On 10/28/1979 in the town of Olivos, Province of Buenos Aires, the artisan ice cream parlor was born as a family business, giving rise to the "Helados Schietto" Ice Cream Factory.

Starting in 1986, with the original ice cream parlor and three branches, new manufacturing equipment was installed and it began to supply third parties, its main customers being resale ice cream parlors and restaurants, thus developing ice cream wholesale.

In 1993 an ice cream manufacturing plant was set up in the town of Munro. This ice cream factory is equipped with Italian technology that allows the ice creams to be pasteurized and homogenized continuously. In this way, maintaining the original artisan recipes, the new production systems improve the texture and creaminess, achieving a top quality ice cream, which combines the best of artisan ice cream with the latest technology.

From that moment on, we began to serve the institutional market, distributing our frozen creams wholesale to a large number of industrial dining rooms and catering companies. Among the dining rooms currently served include Coca Cola, Shell Distilleries, Gillette, Precision Valves, Professional Council of Economic Sciences of the Federal Capital, Roemmers Laboratories, Fratelli Branca, Molinos Río de la Plata, Union of Gastronomic Workers of the Argentine Republic , etc. In relation to the Catering companies that also serve these dining rooms, they carry out quality audits annually, both of our ice creams and of our production systems.

In 1999 at the Schietto ice cream factory we started with the supply of ice creams outside our usual radius of the Federal Capital and Greater Buenos Aires, counting on that date with coverage through our own logistics in Mar del Plata and the Atlantic Coast, Azul , Tandil, Bahía Blanca and Entre Ríos and through ice cream distributors in the provinces of Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego.

In 2004, a general restructuring of the company and a re-equipment with cutting-edge technology began. In this way, we adapt the production processes to the latest quality standards and achieve a production of more than 8,000,000Lts. of ice cream a year.

Currently at the Schietto ice cream factory we have a new distribution center with a storage capacity for finished products of more than 1,000,000 liters, in a refrigerated building with a capacity of 2,500 m3 and 900 storage and shipping positions. Likewise, we distribute through our own logistics throughout the country.
