Abate Juan Ignacio Molina is considered the first scientist and naturalist from Chile who described species of plants and animals using the current scientific nomenclature, thus contributing to world knowledge on botany and zoology of the 18th century. At present, there is little knowledge about Abate Molina in the community of the Maule region, which in turn generates a low valuation of the heritage legacy left by a Maulino historical character. Additionally, the information that rescues the importance of Abate Molina related to natural sciences is published in scientific articles or books with little close formats that hinder the learning of girls and boys.
