PUMA : Magnetlabor

The application "PUMA : Magnetlabor" is a frame app for various experiment stations of a teaching-learning laboratory. These can all be recreated using an experiment kit from the Mekruphy company. The scene that is currently being edited can be selected for each of the six different stations. It will mainly be used to display magnetic fields and atomic structures of the experiment. In this way, the previously assumed solution can be independently checked by the students. The inner logic of the various processes and their dependencies can be shown directly by means of automatically running animations. Some scenes allow interactions with the real test. It is planned to integrate real data from the experiment via Bluetooth so that the connection between experiment and virtuality is strengthened.

The app is part of a doctoral thesis at the Chair of Physics and its Didactics and can be used to supplement real experiments. It is used to investigate the influence of AR on various parameters of the cognitive learning process.
