The information and analytical portal was created within the framework of the project of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UNDP-GEF "Standards, certification and labeling of energy efficiency of electrical household appliances and equipment in Kazakhstan."
The goal of the project: transformation of the Kazakhstan market towards energy-efficient devices and equipment in order to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The project solves the tasks through comprehensive measures, where the main emphasis is on the implementation of energy efficiency standards and requirements (MEPS, HEPS), the international experience of which demonstrate their effectiveness in providing large-scale energy savings.
One of the important areas of the project is to raise awareness of the population about energy efficient household appliances and equipment.
The social survey showed that the population, when purchasing household products, first of all pays attention to their cost, this comes from insufficient information about energy saving and saving their own funds. As you know, the use of more high-tech household appliances will reduce energy consumption and save money.
For general use and informing the population, the portal collected and presented analytical data on the energy efficiency of household appliances and equipment, as well as information on events and the current policy of energy conservation and energy efficiency of equipment in Kazakhstan.
Also, a section has been created on the portal - the Register of energy-efficient household appliances and equipment, where each visitor of the portal can learn about the energy efficiency classes of the technology of interest.
