We call on Jean-Raymond NERIS who has skills in this area through his professional training. Soon other very interested friends join them, and the machine really kicks in.
Their first tests take place using an experimental mini-transmitter of about 5 Watts, during a fair, organized by the local school cooperative. In the desire to structure themselves and to make things better evolve, they decided in July 1983, to set up the association called, after consultation, “RADIOactif MARTINIQUE”, declared to the Sub-prefecture of MARIN, on November 8, 1983. Our association appears in the Official Journal of October 6, 1983. The events follow their course with the official authorization for RADIOactif MARTINIQUE to transmit on February 25, 1985, on the frequency 92.8 MHZ. It was then that an agreement was made with TDF for the transmission and broadcasting of programs, from Morne Aca, in the south of Martinique. The gradual increase in the number of listeners, and their wishes have led RADIOactif MARTINIQUE to offer more attractive activities other than radio (hiking, podium events, sporting events, etc.) which has resulted in the establishment of A.DE.CAM For a better organization, the board of directors proposed to modify the title and the object of the association which then becomes “ASSOCIATION POUR LE DEVELOPPEMENT CULTUREL ET ARTISTIQUE DU MARIN” (ADECAM) see the amending declaration published in the Official Journal of August 14, 1985.
