The Erasmus+ project ‘AGROS - Activation of Green Roofs Synergies as a tool for civic participation & environmental consciousness’ started in November 2020 with the aim to support citizens in acquiring and developing basic skills towards the design,
implementation, use and sustainable management of green roofs.
More specifically, the project objectives include:
·The creation of interesting and user-friendly training material for beginners, as well as professionals, who wish to gain or update their knowledge on green roofs creation and implementation.
·The collection of best practices from all partner countries (Spain, Lithuania, Greece, Latvia, Italy, Martinique and Cyprus) for the cultivation and transmission of green roofs.
·The implementation of interesting activities and events which will raise environmental awareness and contribute to the adoption of environmental responsiveness among EU citizens.
Overall, the project has the aspiration to inspire civic participation and active citizenship of Europeans of different ages, backgrounds and interests.
