Reminiscence-The Metallurgical Journey of 80 years shall be IIEST Shibpur’s first and the grandest online celebratory event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Organised by the Society of Student Metallurgists-IIEST Shibpur, in association with the IIM (Indian Institute of Metals) BESU chapter, the event will fold over 6 days, from 20th to 25th July 2020, and involve multiple technical and non-technical events, cultural programs, and a webinar series by eminent personalities from varied walks of life. Harnessing the power of webinars during this pandemic, we will showcase the students expertise, explore their talents while providing an informative network to help them learn new skill and knowledge likewise. Team Reminiscence strives for a virtual reunion for all the people associated with our department over the years and finally an online farewell bidding goodbye to our class of 2020.
