Al-Khatib said: Al-Ajri was a trustworthy person who had a religion. He had classifications.
Al-Suyuti said: He was a working scientist of a year, a trustworthy religion.
Ibn Muflih al-Hanbali said: He was one of the fuqaha 'and the eldest.
Yacout said: He was confident, he classed many classifications, happened in Baghdad, then moved to Mecca and lived until he died.
Nadim said: Faqih, one of the righteous slaves, was a resident of Mecca.
