The SmartSEN application, developed by AKILEE for Senelec, in particular network operators (Distribution and Energy Movement Departments), enables real-time monitoring of network performance from the production units to the customer. final. In its current version, it allows to supervise the Dakar distribution network from the source stations (HTB arrivals) to the HTA / LV sectors, mixed and private. It allows to:
Supervise distribution network returns (by source station and feeder, thanks to real-time measurements), in order to increase Senelec's ability to locate and combat losses, particularly non-technical losses.
Monitor in real time the charge rate of all Transformers belonging to Senelec, previously overseen by 2 measurement campaigns per year, in order to significantly improve asset management capacity by preventing their failure, helping to optimize their distribution (transformer movements) and limiting the technical losses associated with overloads.
Establish network statistics relating to cut-off frequencies and durations, in accordance with international standards (IEEE Standard Std 1366), thus making it possible to characterize the overall performance of Senelec according to these metrics.
Evaluate the quality of the supply through the supervision of the balance of the distribution of the voltage and the current but also by checking the conformity with the requirements of the service regulation (as well for the voltage as for the frequency).
To do this, the SmartSEN application collects the consumption data and the electrical parameters of more than 2500 points of the network (corresponding to the first perimeter of the Dakar region) via an advanced metering infrastructure using the GPRS network.
Beyond the supervision, this application will become a fundamental tool of decision support for a greater performance of the exploitation. In particular, taking advantage of the possibilities of correlation with other operating data provided by Senelec or from the field.
SmartSEN will provide agents with analyzes, forecasts and recommendations that will optimize the use of resources for greater satisfaction of end customers.
The application will continue to evolve with:
Integration of the transmission network from the output of the alternators;
Extension of the perimeter to the regions in order to have a follow-up at the national level;
The refinement of the loss-locating capacity, through the calculation of LV yields, with the deployment of the advanced metering infrastructure at the customers' premises (AKILEE's AMI project);
The enrichment of the features offered with future developments as part of AKILEE's support to Senelec.
