Camel racing is a special passion in the Sultanate of Oman, as is the case in the alternative Arab Gulf states, one of the most important other cultural legacies that have been historically associated with the lives of the people of the Gulf since ancient times. It has become an economic resource, and various kinds of knowledge on religious and national holidays and local Bedouin occasions. The camel races are divided into two types: the “Arda” with a distance of five hundred meters, and the “distance” race and the “marathon” whose distance is determined according to the age group of the camel using the rider Robotic or human, for distances of up to forty.
