About Florø fotball

Florø Sportsklubb (founded on June 12, 1912, first as Florø Football Club) is a sports club from Florø in Flora municipality. The sports club runs soccer and handball. The team was founded on June 12, 1912. In the period 1929-45 the team was named Florø-Varg. After merging in 1945 with the working sports team Atgeir (founded in 1931) the name was changed to Florø Sportsklubb. In 2011, FSK (Florø Sportsklubb) and Tempo agreed that the age-specific football should be assembled and that they should call FSK and Tempo for Florø Fotball. Florø Fotball plays in the 2017 season in the 1st Division men's soccer. The team plays their home games on the grass court at Florø Stadium.

In the early 2000s, the club started a long-term commitment to its own football talents, including in its own football academy. This eventually resulted in several strong results. In 2011, the Florø & 16 class won the Dana Cup in Denmark, the team reached the semi-finals of the G16 Cup, and several of the players were selected for age-specific national teams.
