The Qur'an was revealed in the Holy Hera Cave by the great angel Gabriel through the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Al-Quran is by far the most widely read book in the world. The Qur'an is the holy book of Islam. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) piecemeal over a long period of twenty-three years. The Qur'an is a complete provision of life. There are a total of 114 suras in the Quran.

I have sent down the Qur'an in Arabic, so that there may be no crookedness, so that they may guard (against evil). (Surah Jumar: verse 26)
