Recovery apps can be helpful, but most I've found are a pain to use and offer either way too little functionality or way too much. I wanted an app that I could download, figure out how to use immediately, spend 5-10 minutes per day to help aid myself in my recovery, and that's it. I couldn't find an app like that, so I made it.
EzPz Recovery performs 4 basic functions:
1. You list why YOU deserve a better life and are worth recovery.
2. You list what alternate activities you can perform when the urge to relapse is strong.
3. You list what motivated you to recover.
4. You set up a plan for what to do after you relapse if that happens.
That's it. Sound easy? It is. But these are all things that psychologists at treatment centers will have you do, except they'll have you do it in a notebook that you'll probably lose 5 minutes after you leave treatment. Here you have this resource in your back pocket. Anytime you feel as if you need a boost or reminder, you can take out your phone and see what you've written. It's incredibly helpful and surprisingly effective at taking you from the brink of relapse.
