LactaDiet is a mobile application designed to empower lactating mothers by offering personalised dietary recommendations to address their specific nutritional needs. Postpartum women face unique challenges requiring a well-balanced diet rich in essential nutrients like protein, iron, calcium, and vitamins for optimal health. Traditional dietary guidance methods lack
personalization and are often time-consuming. LactaDiet overcomes these challenges by providing tailored meal plans, nutrient tracking, a comprehensive recipe database, and educational resources, helping mothers make informed food choices.
The app was developed using Flutter and Dart for a seamless and user-friendly experience, ensuring ease of navigation. Features such as calorie and nutrient tracking, meal planning, and an extensive recipe collection enable users to monitor progress and adopt healthy eating habits. The app, built with insights from nutritionist interviews and surveys, aims to significantly improve postpartum nutritional health, benefiting both mothers and infants.
