My name is Jean SIMO, promoter of three educational institutions in Douala (Cameroon) which are: The Institute of Polyvalent Private Bonamoussadi (IPPB), the School Group Bilingual Marseillais (GSBM), and e College Charles De Gaulle (CCG) respectively opened in 1990, 1994, 2002.
Each of these schools has its own story. However, the breadcrumb that connects them is the deep conviction that I acquired during my secondary and university studies, namely: The development of a country depends essentially on the quality of the training of its citizens. Inspired by this logic, I invested in education first as a private developer of these three schools. Subsequently, I found it appropriate to integrate an organization of compatriots animated by the same concern for our youth as myself: the national union of promoters of secular private educational institutions in Cameroon (S.N.P.E.P.L.C.). As a political actor (Municipal Councilor), I think I can validly help to support the public authorities of my country, which is responsible for the heavy task of training and educating our young compatriots.
Indeed, the education sector in Cameroon - as in all developing countries - is characterized by ever-increasing needs that local communities as well as the state can not meet. Private initiative is therefore essential to complement and support the work of the public authorities. Economic motives are thus taken over because the education sector requires decades of hard work and sacrifice from the whole community before reaping the benefits.
For more than 20 years, with the help of educational staff, we have contributed significantly to the success of thousands of graduates. Today, our alumni are scattered across the country and even around the world. We are convinced that the visit to this site will arouse in them a scent of nostalgia and active solidarity.
Finally, we hope that through this means of communication these three educational institutions (IPPB, GSBM and CCG) will be better known to everyone through this great global village. We invite you to visit our educational frameworks and to experience the quality of our teachings.
Work and Discipline Lead to Success.
