CheckN: Social in Social Media

Just as other GPS apps can show you where a ride is or where traffic is - right now, CheckN shows you where the people are - right now. The app tells you where the hottest places and venues are in real-time. It shows where everyone in your extended friend group is right now. It also shows the thumbnail pics of the people you haven’t met yet who are at a particular location right now. It even shows the ratio of men to women at each location.

With CheckN you can select the types of places you're interested in (bars, clubs, restaurants, parks, museums, you name it), as well as choose your desired neighborhood or geography. Once you arrive at a venue and CheckN you are then able to search the thumbnail photos of other checked in users at that location, filtering by age and gender, to see who else is there.

Tapping on the thumbnail pic of another checked in user allows you to see what friends you may already have in common and send a friend request.

The app has a range of privacy features such as “Go-anonymous” or “Only friends can see me”. It also allows users to receive exclusive deals from venues, including concerts and sports events.
