PFI

In line with the National Health Mission’s strategy, PFI strengthened capacities and empowered Panchayat and Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committees (VHSNCs) to increase demand and monitor availability of services at health facilities. The programme are being implemented in the Darbhanga and Nawada through local NGO partners and in Araria, Gaya and Samastipur through health systems. It led to better health service delivery, including increase in the range of antenatal care services, regular counselling and distribution of family planning supplies, regular functioning of sub-health centres and primary health centres etc.
