Paul Schwung speaks the words clearly in syllables. He claps the syllables in time. With this participation strategy, Paul Schwung succeeds in z. B. Spelling the word deer correctly. Paul Schwung speaks Re-he in syllables. So he clearly hears the h in the middle of the word!
Peter Lange is the specialist for word endings. If Peter Lange does not hear exactly how the word is spelled at the end, he extends the word. He extended z. B. the word dog to dog. So he can safely write the word dog with a d at the end.
Laura Blitz is the specialist for difficult passages in the middle of a word. If Laura is not sure whether she B. Mäuse should write with äu or eu, so she looks for a related word, here mouse. Laura Blitz knows that mice is written with äu.
