1st Division
The 2020 Season is the III edition of the Professional Football Division organized by the Bolivian Football Federation, a successor since April 2018 of the dissolved Bolivian Professional Football League.
This 3rd edition of the Professional Football Division will be divided into two tournaments: Opening and Closing.
The Opening and Closing Tournament will be played under the modality of all against all two laps (26 dates each). In each tournament the team that gets the most points will be the champion.
2nd. Dvision
The Simón Bolívar 2020 Cup will be the 32nd edition of the Second Division tournament of Bolivian football.
This new edition of the tournament will be characterized by a series of novelties in its award system: Not only will the tournament champion ascend to the Professional Division in the 2021 Season, but the runner-up will also do so directly, thus eliminating the series of matches for the indirect rise this season 2020.1
In addition, a possible extension of participating teams in this tournament would be discussed, which in turn would imply a slight modification on the format of the tournament.
