Our story begins in the now distant year 1947, in a Florence that still bore the wounds of the Second World War clearly visible. In via Pisana in the Soffiano area, the newly formed Italian Food Confectionery Artisan Company (SAIDA) set up its first bakery and pastry shop. Many years have passed since that 1947 and since then SAIDA has remained constantly faithful to its identity built over the years of "Antica Fabbrica di Pasticceria", as indicated in the original location. This identity is based on the artisanal processing method and the very high quality of the raw materials used to make their products (often DOP and IGP). Thanks to this, from the beginning SAIDA has been able to boast a vast assortment, which ranges from dry pastries (biscuits, cantucci, pastries, etc.) to ice creams, up to real creations of pastry art, almost always made on customer orders, on the occasion of the celebration of events or anniversaries. To this must be added an equally important variety of savory baked products (flatbreads, pizzas, focaccias, etc.), seasonal products (Christmas, Easter, Carnival sweets, etc.) and a selection of high quality own brand coffees. 100% Arabica, imported from India and Brazil and roasted on their own. The entire production of SAIDA, in addition to being of the highest quality, is also extremely accurate in the visual and aesthetic aspect, because the satisfaction of the eye is as important as that of the palate. Today SAIDA from a pastry laboratory that served ovens, restaurants, hotels and large retailers, has evolved into a reality that, in addition to addressing its traditional customers, is characterized by the continuous search for the highest quality and the constant study of products. and on the evolution of the tastes of its customers, coming to include four patisseries / cafes under its own brand in different locations in Tuscany open 365 days a year. The premises opened in Florence in 1999, in what is now also the headquarters of the pastry shop, in Figline Valdarno in 2011, in Pistoia in 2014, taking over and renovating the historic "Café Du Globe" and in Prato in 2016, broadcast every day to its customers all the love and passion for the ancient Florentine pastry tradition.
