It seems so easy, you are presented with a word of which only the first letter is known and the number of letters of the word to be guessed. By playing as few letters as possible to guess the word, you have more bonus points left, which increases your score. BUT, a letter never occurs more than once in the word to be guessed, making it suddenly a lot harder to guess a word.
With Word Game ++ you learn Dutch words that you didn't know existed. All words in the game are (have been) used as a Dutch word, based on the list of the OpenTaal foundation.
