"Saga of Volsungah" - the most famous of the "sagas of olden times", telling about the legendary history of Scandinavia. It describes the rise and decline of the genus Volsungov (Sigmund and Sigurd). In the saga "On Ragnar Lodbrok and his sons," tells the story, which was the basis of the popular television series "The Vikings". It is given by the Scandinavians Chronicle raids on the British Isles. "Saga of Odda-Strela" - an analog of the Slavic tales of Wise Oleg. It is not known whether the saga has become a pretext for the creation of the ancient Russian legend of the Wise, or, on the contrary, the circumstances of the death of Oleg served as the material for the saga.
