Banda Calypso was a Brazilian calypso band, with influences from regional rhythms from the state of origin. The group was formed in Belém in the state of Pará, in 1999, by the singer and dancer Joelma Mendes and by the guitarist and music producer, Cledivan Almeida Farias, better known as Ximbinha.
