INETER Alerta de Terremotos

INETER Alert of Earthquakes is a mobile application developed to notify the earthquakes that can be felt and provide, in the best of cases, an early warning and that the user has time to take the action of Duck, Protect and Wait.
It is a free application and a service provided by INETER as a complement to the information dissemination work. It is a fully automated system that links multiple instruments and algorithms and is therefore susceptible to technical failures.
The app provides three types of alerts: Red, Orange and Green.
The Red Alert is one that means that the earthquake can be felt with an intensity greater than or equal to V and that the user has a few seconds to take the action of Duck, Protect and Wait. It is notified with VOICE command and vibration.
The Orange Alert is one that means that the earthquake can be felt with an intensity greater than or equal to III but less than V. It is notified with SOUND and vibration.
The Green Alert is one that means that the earthquake can be felt with intensity less than III. It is notified silently.
For each event there is the option to report the experience of what you perceived or felt during the earthquake.
