A large part of the elderly population undergoes medical treatments with drugs of regular and continuous use, they also have difficulties in organizing the schedule and remembering to consume their medicines, this can cause substantial worsening of the symptoms of the diseases and can even lead to premature death. The “Beep” project is a computer system that integrates two complementary applications, an application with a design aimed at the use of the elderly population, with the objective of promoting self-management in a simplified way applied to the consumption of medicines, and the other aimed at for use by caregivers, intended for drug monitoring and management. The objective is to help the elderly population to consume their medicines more assertively, in addition to helping to promote a better quality of life. For this, other market solutions with the same characteristics were analyzed, as well as a field research aimed at potential users of the system. After this step, the solution architecture was specified by applying the user-centered design technique. Beep integrates the two mobile apps aimed at seniors and caregivers, taking into account accessibility and simplicity issues.
