About KenyaGameReserve

Kenya has about 8% of its land mass designated as a protected area for wildlife conservation.
Protected areas are surveyed, delineated, and gazetted landscapes/seascapes that have been designated as National Parks and/or National Reserves.
Protected areas in Kenya cover a wide range of environments, including forests, wetlands, savannah, maritime, dry, and semi-arid.
There are over 20 national game reserves .Outside of the protected zones, KWS administers over a hundred field stations/outposts.
Human activities, are permitted in reserves under certain conditions .Fishing in maritime reserves or firewood collection in terrestrial reserves are examples of these activities.
It's worth noting that much of Kenya's wildlife lives outside of protected areas. This is due to the fact that most protected areas aren't fully fenced, so wildlife moves in and out of them in search of pasture and water at different times of the year.
When they leave the protected zones, they come into contact with people on private and community land, resulting in human-animal conflict.
As a result, the KWS must adopt a strategic cooperation with wildlife-affected communities.
