Tuanku Jaafar Technical School or its short name TjTi or STTJ, is a cluster school and technical secondary school located at KM 4 Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah, Ampangan, Negeri Sembilan. In 2007, SMT Tuanku Jaafar was awarded as a “Cluster School of Excellence (SKK)”
The school was first built in 1972, on 32 hectares of land in the Ampangan District. Started the first intake on 16 January 1973. Started studies with 233 students and 12 instructors. Starting with the name Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seremban (SMTS). This school was inaugurated in 1977 by DYMM Tuanku Jaafar Ibni Al Marhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the Yang DiPertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan at that time.
