The SOBO determines the amount of salt on the road by measuring the electrical conductivity. To do this, a known volume measurement solution is sprayed on a determined road surface. The salt present on the measured area is dissolved and the conductivity of the solution is measured. The salt concentration, in g/m2, is then displayed on the screen and sent via bluetooth to the SOBO application. The SOBO application allows you to view, save and send the results of concentration and/or temperature measurements by e-mail as a PDF-document. The measuring solution is configurable according to the ambient temperature, the choice of demineralised water or an acetone/water solution 15%. The type of salt present on the road must also be set, either NaCl or CaCl2. The built-in temperature compensation device ensures that the measurement result is independent of the temperature at which the measurement is made.
