As a result of global warming, the environment of the whole world is endangered. Our country is no exception. So, every year we are facing Cyclone or Super Cyclone in different names. The damage is extensive. As meteorological science has improved, we get advance warning of storms but this forecasting is based on state or district level. But we do not get the information or advance forecast of how the weather changes at different sub-division levels of a district. That is why we must rely on various third-party apps where weather information is given in English which most of the times are not understandable to common people. Moreover, the fact that almost all these apps are made by various foreign organizations raises doubts about how reliable they are. The Technology Cell of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology of West Bengal or MAKAUT has developed such a weather app in Bengali language for public use through which live weather information of each district of West Bengal up to the sub division level can be obtained instantly through the app and so that everyone can understand it. The app will speak the weather information in Bengali. That is why they have created a chatbot called "Smriti" which is integrated with this app, depending on artificial intelligence. As a result, through this chatbot, anyone can listen to the current weather conditions or warnings in their own area in standard Bengali language.
