Institutions can be viewed from a formal and non-formal perspective. Formally, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is the focal point for government agencies at the central level. Meanwhile, the focal point for disaster management at the provincial and district/city levels is the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
From the non-formal side, forums both at the national and local levels were formed to strengthen the implementation of disaster management in Indonesia.
