The 5th edition of Criatech, in 2021, will take place in a week in which it will once again intervene in public and heritage spaces, with a historical narrative and strong collective memory, which will be transformed by the presence of artistic objects that will be placed there in an ephemerally.
At a time when the meaning of life is exchanged for sensations that generate emptiness, Criatech intends to be a moment to exhale and return to physical experience, albeit with a strong digital and media art presence, in a call to reverse the leaning to isolation and virtualization.
We persist in the survey of man-machine relationships, numerical algorithm and artificial intelligence and with this edition we intend to repair, aware that the states of some balances and the constant efforts to maintain these balances in the social and personal relationships of humanity have degenerated and what surrounds it – natural or artificial. We will reflect on physical and emotional contact, on relearning processes of being with the other and abroad, on impacts on nature, due to the absence of interaction between people.
