Seje palm oil made by Amazonian Indians:
A study on seje palm oil, conducted by the Institute of Food Science and Technology of the University Nacional de Colombia (ICTA), in collaboration with Venezuelan institutions found rich in omega 3 and 9, superior than African palm oil, also showing great nutritional similarities to olive oil.
This Amazonian oil, according to research has a high nutritional value of omega 3 fatty acids, so the results point out that seje palm oil has a 77% omega 9, while African palm oil has an amount between 36 - 44%. As for the olive, it is in the same rank ", explains Joseph Wilson Castro, ICTA researcher in the field of vegetable processing.
