The CNL BR application provides a list of acronyms for Brazilian locations, also known as Acronym for Identification of Locations (SIL); the National Area Code (DDD) and its corresponding municipalities and UFs.
These acronyms were created by the former Brazilian Telecommunications Company (Embratel) with the aim of facilitating the identification of locations in telecommunications systems and making communication between operators more efficient.
The acronym is composed of three or four capital letters, which represent the name of the locality. For example, the acronym "TSA" represents the city of Teresina, while "JCRK" is the acronym for the locality Jacaré.
To make the query, type in the text box, typing (without an accent), the name or abbreviation of the municipality or locality you want to consult and tap the blue button “Search”. If you want to carry out a new query, tap the green “Clear” button and repeat the previously described procedure. To exit the app, tap the red “X” button.
