This app is a tool to assist in the treatment of temporomandibular dysfunction and orofacial pain (TMD). TMD is an extremely disabling clinical condition for which effective treatments are available. If you agree to use this application, you will have access to a link to the DTM Portal (www.portaldtm.com.br). This app is not intended to replace the exam performed by the professional.
According to the American Association for Dental Research (AADR) statement: "Professional treatment should be expanded with a home care program in which patients learn about the disorder and how to manage their symptoms." The application is intended to assist in this sense of therapy.
Does this app perform diagnostics?
No. For a proper diagnosis of your clinical condition and the treatment that may result from such a diagnosis, we suggest that you consult a specialist healthcare professional.
OBJECTIVE OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE?
The tool aims mainly to motivate the patient by providing knowledge and awareness about their clinical condition. Your answers will not affect the type of clinical treatment you receive, which will continue to be formulated based on the natural history of the disease, clinical examination or, where indicated, imaging procedures.
