Rail Ravaana Mitra (BDU) have been set up at all the Zonal and Divisional headquarters across Indian Railways to specifically focus in freight loading with a view to capture new traffic and at the same time to retain the existing traffic. BDUs precisely concentrate on the freight and parcel loading to enhance the freight and cargo basket of railways and to increase its share in transport sector.
