The work is aimed to develop an android application for promoting Aedes genus mosquito awareness to the community and to wipe out them from the environment with the help of public through the mobile phone, an easily reachable resource. Mosquitoes are considered to be the most hazardous insects in the world, as they are the carriers of many deadly or debilitating diseases like malaria, yellow fever, dengue, zika, chikungunya and lymphatic filariasis to human. The disease dengue is caused by the dengue virus transmitted by the bite of widespread female Aedes genus mosquitoes Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus. Eliminating Aedes mosquito’s emergence by abolishing the breeding sources are the best way to control dengue, for that the knowledge about Aedes mosquito is mandatory for the community. So the mobile app has been designed to educate & control Aedes mosquitoes by indicating the breeding sources through mobile.
