The Qur'an mentions many of the personalities that appear in the Scriptures of Judaism and Christianity (Tanach and the Bible) and in the devotional literature (eg, fabricated books), with many variations in detail. The personalities of the Hebrew and Christian world known as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus of Nazareth, and John the Baptist were mentioned as Islamic prophets.
