Due to complex health problems, premature babies need long-term follow-up care and especially after discharge. However, follow-up care for such high-risk babies is not available in most LMICs like Vietnam. Innovative solutions are essential to ensure optimal care and best results for early survivors in these countries.
E-BabyCare is a virtual care platform that enables the delivery of care for premature babies via a web interface and smartphone app, plus a call center. From a PC or mobile device, NICU's care clinicians can perform a virtual visit, while parents can remotely access clinicians via SMS, phone, or other chat or video conference. They can also access guides and tools to monitor the baby's health, screen complications, and enter baby's health data in a web-connected database.
