The self-help news informs all interested parties about current topics from the self-help and health sector in NRW. Those affected, their relatives and those involved can find contacts to the local self-help contact points/offices and the local self-help groups via the Self-Help News.

With a few exceptions, all rural districts and urban districts in North Rhine-Westphalia take part in the offer and send out up-to-date information six times a year – from the region for the region. The newsletters are written by the employees of the local self-help contact points/offices and the local self-help groups. With its wide range of topics, the SelbsthilfeNews is an important source of information for acutely and chronically ill people and their families, members of self-help groups, but also medical practices and advice centers.
The self-help news is an offer from the substitute health insurance funds, AOK, BKK, IKK classic, Knappschaft and SVLFG as part of the self-help promotion according to §20h SGB V. The aim is to bring the topic of self-help more into the public eye.
