Fasting for Muslims is refraining from eating and drinking and all actions that can break the fast, from sunrise to sunset, with certain conditions, to increase the piety of a Muslim.
The wisdom of fasting itself is to train humans to be patient in living life. Among the wisdom and benefits of fasting apart from being a pious person are as follows:
Spiritual education/training,
Educate the soul so that it can control itself,
Educate lust so that it is not always pampered and obeyed,
Educate the soul to be able to hold the mandate as well as possible,
Teach patience and perseverance.
Social improvement
People who fast will feel all the troubles of the poor who suffer from hunger and deprivation. Thus will arise a sense of helping people who are suffering.
Health
Ramadan fasting worship will bring benefits to spiritual and physical health if its implementation is in accordance with the guidelines that have been set, otherwise the results will not be much, in fact our fasting may be in vain.
