Find compressed air leaks using your cell phone! Leak Detector uses your phone's built in microphone to listen for high frequency sound in a narrow band around 20 kHz, then plays it back at lower frequencies.
Listen to almost anything that's happening just above the range of human hearing!
What will it hear?
• Turbulence
• Friction
• Impact
• Very high frequency chirps and whistles
What will it ignore?
• Normal conversation
• Most ambient noise
Just position your device's microphone within a couple feet of a suspected leak, press Listen, then watch the red/green indicator, and listen for the tell-tale hiss. Small leaks may require close proximity. Larger leaks can be detected farther away. Use of headphones that do not have a built-in microphone is highly recommended.
